General Information

Average annual snowfall (inches) for 1981-2010 for the Midwest region. The stations where snowfall normals could be calculated are denoted by dots. Snowfall increases from south to north and is highest (more than 72 inches) in the lake-effect snow belts of the Michigan Upper Peninsula, western lower Michigan, and northeastern Ohio.
