Fields are from GIPL permafrost model simulations driven by downscaled CMIP3 climate model output for the B1 (bottom panels) and A2 (top panels) scenarios. As indicated by color bars, blue shades represent temperatures below 32F (0C) and yellow-to-red shades represent temperatures above 32F (0C). Figure provided by S.
